Relationship With God

Do you know for sure that if you were to die tonight you would make it to heaven? What would you say if you stand before God and He asks, "why should I let you in?"
If you are uncertain about either of those questions, you need to be converted to Jesus Christ. Or if you think that maybe you are good enough to get to heaven, think again.

The Bible says that all have sinned and fallen short of God's standard. Even the best of us are sinners. If we are honest with ourselves we have to admit that we are flawed and imperfect people.

The good news, however, is that despite our sin and short comings, God loves us and made a way for us to be forgiven and brought into fellowship with Him.

When Jesus died on the cross He paid the penalty for your sin and mine. Through repentance and faith in Him we receive cleansing and a new relationship with God.

That can be your blessed experience. No matter who you are, what you have done where you have been, God loves you and wants to save you from your sin.

You may ask, "What must I do to be saved?" Firstly, admit you are a sinner. Repent of your sin-that means not only being sorry for it but turning completely away from it, turning your back on it.

Put your faith and trust in Christ and dedicate yourself to Him, to live for Him for the rest of your life. Get involved in a good church that will help you grow and develop in your spiritual life. Be baptised in water and ask God to fill you with His Holy Spirit in order to be empowered to serve Him.

If you would like to make a meaningful commitment to Jesus Christ, please sincerely say this prayer:

O God, I admit that I have sinned and gone my own way. I have offended You and I am truly sorry. I turn away from my selfishness and sin and I give my life to You. Lord Jesus Christ, I believe that you died for me and rose again from the dead. Please forgive my sin, come into my life, become my Saviour and Lord, and give me a new start in life. Please fill me with Your Holy Spirit and give me the power I need to live for you and your glory and praise. Thank you for hearing my prayer, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

If you prayed that prayer and would like further help please phone, write or e-mail us. If you live locally you are very welcome to attend our church.

May God bless you as you develop your relationship with Him.
